Leadzai: September 2026 Product Feature Release

This September, Leadzai takes the next step with TikTok, making campaign management, conversion tracking and video creation simpler while continuing to strengthen the platform behind the scenes.

This month, we continued building on TikTok’s integration with updates designed to make campaign management more seamless. Conversions can now be tracked using the same script already used across other networks, location targeting can automatically adapt when a specific area isn’t available, and users receive a notification when generated videos are ready. We also made improvements across the wider platform, including smarter content generation, upgraded Meta, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising integrations, and stronger foundations to keep Leadzai running smoothly.

List of new features and brief summary:

  1. TikTok Video Generation Improvements - Generating a video from an image no longer means waiting on the screen. You're notified as soon as your video is ready, and the video creation flow now guides you through the required steps in order:
    1. Get notified when your video is ready - a notification appears as soon as generation finishes and takes you straight to the ad, even if you closed the tab or logged out in the meantime
    2. Notification centre - a new bell icon in the navigation bar holds your current and past notifications
    3. A guided video creation flow - fields unlock in the order they're needed, so it's clear what to complete next, and the thumbnail is now optional
  2. TikTok Conversion Tracking — TikTok conversions are now tracked through the same Leadzai tracking script already in place for other networks, so results from TikTok appear in reporting alongside every other source
  3. Improved TikTok Location Targeting — When a targeted location isn't available on TikTok, campaigns now run on the closest wider area instead, so campaigns targeting smaller towns and villages are covered
  4. Behind the Scenes: Platform Maintenance - A dedicated sprint on speed, stability and keeping our network integrations current. Nothing changes in the interface, but the platform underneath it is faster and more resilient.

Product Release Notes - September 2026
‍

01.  TikTok Video Generation Improvements

Available: September 16, 2026  |  Campaign Level — Network Integration
‍

1. What is this and who is it for?

This update is for campaign managers creating TikTok video ads with Leadzai's image-to-video generation. Generating a video takes a little time, and until now there was no way to know when it had finished — meaning users had to stay on the screen and check manually. Video generation now notifies users when it's done, and the creation flow itself has been made clearer to work through.
‍

2. What changed, where will users see it and how does it work?

Notified when the video is ready

When a video finishes generating, a notification appears confirming it is ready, with a link that leads directly to the ad. There is no need to keep the ad open or check back manually — users can start the generation, carry on with other work, and return when notified.
‍

Notifications are tied to the user account rather than the browser session, so if a video finishes after the tab has been closed or the user has logged out, the notification is waiting at the next login. When several videos are generated, each one produces its own notification, linking to its own ad.
‍

Notification centre

A new bell icon in the navigation bar holds current and past notifications. Notifications that have already been seen remain there as history, making it easy to find the way back to an ad later.
‍

A guided video creation flow

The video creation form now unlocks fields in the order they are needed, making it clear what to complete next:

  • The video source becomes available once the Final URL, ad text and call to action are filled in
  • The thumbnail becomes available once a video source is in place, with a tooltip explaining why it is disabled until then
  • Both fields are locked while a video is generating, so nothing is changed mid-process

The thumbnail is also no longer mandatory — ads can be saved without one.
‍

3. How does this impact existing campaigns or setups?

No impact on campaign delivery or settings. All changes are interface-level only and apply to TikTok video ads being created or edited.
‍

4. How do users get access and where is it available?

Available from September 16, 2026 in the TikTok ad creation flow, for all user roles with campaign edit permissions. No activation required.

02. TikTok Conversion Tracking

Available: September 1, 2026  |  Advertiser Level — Conversions & Lead Tracking
‍

1. What is this and who is it for?

This update is for teams running TikTok campaigns who need to know what those campaigns are actually generating.
‍

Conversion tracking works through a pixel — a small piece of code on the advertiser's website that reports back when a visitor completes an action, so the result can be connected to the ad that brought them there. Leadzai now supports the TikTok pixel, closing the loop between a click on TikTok and what happens after it.
‍

2. What changed, where will users see it, and how does it work?

The TikTok pixel is provided automatically to advertisers using the Leadzai tracking script, exactly as it works for the other networks today. Conversions from TikTok campaigns are recorded and appear alongside all other tracked sources, giving a complete view of what each campaign is generating.
‍

3. How does this impact existing campaigns or setups?

No impact, and no change to your workflow. Advertisers who already have the Leadzai tracking script installed are covered automatically, for both existing and future campaigns — nothing needs to be added, configured or regenerated
‍

4. How do users get access, and where is it available?

Available from September 1, 2026 for advertisers running TikTok campaigns with the Leadzai tracking script installed. No activation required.

‍

‍

03. Improved TikTok Location Targeting

Available: September 3, 2026  |  Campaign Level — Locations
‍

1. What is this and who is it for?

This improvement is for service teams running TikTok campaigns, particularly those targeting smaller towns and villages.
‍

TikTok supports fewer locations than the other networks, and with less granularity. A small village that Google Ads targets without issue may simply not exist in TikTok's location list, which previously left those campaigns without usable targeting on TikTok. When that happens, the platform now targets the closest wider area containing it, so the campaign still reaches the right region rather than being left without coverage.
‍

2. What changed, where will users see it, and how does it work?

When a targeted location isn't available on TikTok, the platform now automatically moves up to the next widest area containing it and keeps going until it finds a location TikTok supports.
‍

This happens automatically during campaign setup. Targeting on the other networks is unaffected, so a campaign can target the village precisely on Google while running on the surrounding area on TikTok.
‍

3. How does this impact existing campaigns or setups?

No impact on existing campaigns or on locations already targeted. This applies to TikTok campaigns created from now on.
‍

4. How do users get access, and where is it available?

Available from September 3, 2026. No activation required.

‍

04.  Behind the Scenes: Platform Maintenance

Available: September, 2026  |  Platform
‍

1. What is this and who is it for?

This month we dedicated a sprint to platform maintenance — work that keeps the platform fast, stable and current. None of it changes what users see in the interface, but it is what keeps everything above it running well, and it clears the way for the features coming next.
‍

2. What changed, where will users see it and how does it work?

A leaner content generation engine

Sitelinks, structured snippets and Performance Max assets are now generated from Leadzai's Website Report, a more compact source of website information than the process used previously. The quality of the content itself is unchanged — it is produced faster and with fewer resources. Content preparation at Ad Group level also now works from the campaign's real targeting locations, so prepared content is reused rather than discarded.
‍

Network integrations kept up to date

We upgraded our Meta and Google Ads integrations to newer versions, and updated the tools we use to connect to Microsoft Advertising.
‍

Lighter reporting

Reporting data is now processed only when something has actually changed, reducing background load as data volumes grow.
‍

Fewer interruptions

Passing connection issues are now retried automatically rather than causing an operation to fail. Account setup issues that previously had to be spotted manually are now flagged to our team as they happen, so they get picked up sooner.
‍

Platform foundations

We completed a round of updates to the technologies the platform is built on, keeping it secure and well-positioned for what's coming next.
‍

3. How does this impact existing campaigns or setups?

No impact on campaigns, settings or generated content. Nothing needs to be reviewed, changed or regenerated.
‍

4. How do users get access and where is it available?

Available from September 2026 across the platform, for all user roles. No activation required.
